I am a qualified organic skincare formulator with years of experience in medicinal herbs, botanicals and natural skincare. In my artisan apothecary on the farm, I create small-batch handmade skincare using organically grown, responsibly foraged herbs and carefully selected botanical ingredients.

Each batch is crafted with care to ensure freshness, consistency and quality.

I choose organic, minimally processed and GMO-free ingredients wherever possible, with an emphasis on preserving the natural qualities of the botanicals and oils used in my formulations.

I only use botanical essential oils for fragrance and avoid all synthetic fragrances.  I don't use unnecessary fillers, and I carefully select ingredients with the goal of creating gentle, effective and enjoyable skincare.

The skin is home to a diverse community of microorganisms that form part of its natural microbiome. Caring for the skin means respecting this delicate environment while providing gentle cleansing, hydration and conditioning.

Why the Microbiome Matters

The skin has its own unique microbiome — a diverse community of microorganisms that naturally lives on the skin’s surface. This natural ecosystem is part of the skin’s unique environment and can be influenced by everyday factors such as cleansing, skincare products, climate and lifestyle.

Because the products we use every day interact with the skin’s surface, I believe skincare should be simple and thoughtful, working with the skin rather than unnecessarily disrupting its natural environment. A gentle, thoughtful skincare routine can provide cleansing, hydration and conditioning while helping skin feel comfortable, soft and balanced.

My facial products are formulated with carefully selected ingredients and botanical extracts, with a focus on gentle, everyday care. Each formula is created with a simple philosophy: to care for the skin gently, respect its natural surface environment, and leave it feeling hydrated, smooth, soft and comfortable.

Toning Products:

Revitalizing Facial Mist

  • A refreshing and calming facial mist that helps refresh and hydrate the skin while leaving it feeling soft, comfortable and balanced. It helps skin look smoother and more refined and is particularly suited to oily skin and skin prone to visible imperfections.

    The facial mist contains a prebiotic polysaccharide derived from chicory, selected to complement the skin's natural surface environment and support a simple, thoughtful skincare routine.

    Carefully selected ingredients help maintain the skin's natural moisture barrier while helping skin feel fresh and balanced. The mist also helps improve the appearance of uneven skin tone and promote a more uniform-looking complexion, leaving skin looking fresh, smooth and clear.

    The Peppermint, Comfrey and Cucumber used in the formulation were grown organically on our farm. I prepare the organic glycerol extracts myself using fresh plant material.

    The mist has a delicate rose fragrance with a hint of mint.

    The formula contains a preservative derived from natural sources, including rowan berries, pine bark and willow bark. It is accepted for use in organic skincare formulations under applicable COSMOS and Ecocert standards.

  • Apply after cleansing mornings & evenings, or as a refreshing mist when flying or feeling flushed. 

    Morning: Apply the facial mist after cleansing, then follow with moisturizer to seal in hydration and the beneficial botanical properties of the mist.

    Evening: I recommend applying the facial mist after cleansing and leaving out the moisturizer. Yes, that’s right - no night cream! The facial mist can be used as your oil-free night care.

    My approach to nighttime skincare comes from my training in skin physiology and years of hands-on experience as a skincare therapist and formulator. I favour a simple, oil-free evening routine rather than layering rich creams and oils, and this philosophy is at the heart of how I recommend using the Facial Mist.

    If you’re new to oil-free night care, your skin may take a little time to adjust and may initially feel drier than usual. Oil cleansing can be a helpful way to bridge this transition while your skin becomes accustomed to your new routine.

    The Comfrey and Cucumber used in the formulation are organically grown on our farm. I prepare the organic glycerol extracts myself using fresh plant material.

    The formula contains a preservative derived from natural sources, including rowan berries, pine bark and willow bark.  It is accepted for use in organic skincare formulations under applicable COSMOS and Ecocert standards.

    The emulsifier is derived from non-GMO coconut and palm oils, sourced according to ethical and sustainability standards. It is accepted for use in organic skincare formulations under applicable Ecocert standards.
