I am a qualified organic skincare formulator with years of experience in medicinal herbs and natural health. In my artisan apothecary on the farm, I create handmade skincare products using organically grown and foraged herbs.

Why the Microbiome Matters

Much like gut health, a balanced skin microbiome is essential for overall skin health. A healthy microbiome helps maintain hydration, fight infections, and protect against environmental damage. Harsh, synthetic ingredients can disrupt this balance, leading to dry, irritated skin. My products prioritize natural ingredients to support your skin's natural defense system.

Cleansing Products:

Soothing Facial Cleanser

  • This light lotion gently cleanses without disrupting the skin’s microbiome.  Key ingredients include Echinacea and Calendula, both herbs known for its anti-inflammatory and anti-septic properties, while Castor oil binds to impurities.    

    The Echinacea and Calendula are grown organically on our farm and I produce the organic infusions myself.  The lotion has a clean herbal aroma of Lavender and Geranium.  It contains an eco friendly preservative that has been approved by COSMOS and Ecocert for use in organic skincare products.  This preservative is derived from natural sources such as rowan berries, pine bark and willow bark.  The emulsifier is derived from GMO free Coconut and Palm oil, which is ethically and sustainably sourced.  The emulsifier has also been approved by Ecocert for use in organic skincare products.

  • I usually recommend using this cleansing lotion in the morning and doing oil cleansing at night when you have more time. 

    For cleansing, wet your face with warm water.  Put 3 -5 pumps of cleanser into your hand and apply onto damp face and neck area.  Gently massage starting at your forehead, using outward motions towards the side of your face (ears) and working your way downwards towards your chin and neck area.  Massaging in these ‘downwards and outwards’ motions aids the flow of lymph in the direction of the lymph nodes situated along the hairline, ears, jaw and neck area which aids detoxification.

Facial Cleansing Oil

  • This product is suitable for all skin conditions, including people who have oily, acne prone and/or sensitive skins. 

    I’m a big fan of oil cleansing and especially recommend it for oily and acne prone skin conditions.  Reason being people with oily and/or acne prone skin will often use harsh products to strip their skins of its natural oils to keep it ‘clean’. There are 2 problems with this – it causes the skin to overproduce sebum (natural oils) to rebalance the skin’s acid mantle, creating a snowball effect and aggravating matters. Ultimately this cycle disrupts the skin’s microbiome and weakens skin barrier function, leading to skin irritation, infection and inflammation.

    This product contains a unique blend of organic cold pressed oils which binds with impurities and cleanses the skin gently without stripping it. As soon as your skin is no longer stripped of its natural oils but instead receives oil, it will stop overproducing sebum and re-balance oil production. 

    Key ingredients have anti-inflammatory properties which soothe infections, balance oil production and help to reduce large facial skin pores.  The Calendula flowers are grown organically on our farm and I produce the organic Calendula oil extract myself. This cleansing oil has an uplifting aroma of Geranium and Bergamot, with earthy undertones of Cedarwood and Myrrh. It is free from any synthetic ingredients, artificial fragrances or preservatives. 

  • For eye makeup removal, apply 2 pumps of cleansing oil to 2 damp cotton pads and place over closed eyes for a few seconds. Sweep over eyes a few times to remove eye makeup.

    For cleansing, wrap a warm muslin or face cloth over your face for a few seconds for a gentle steam.  Rinse cloth in warm water and repeat. Warming the skin softens pore walls, which aids deep pore cleansing.

    Put 3-5 pumps of oil into your hand and add a few drops of warm water to it. Mix between your hands and apply onto damp face and neck area. Gently massage starting at your forehead, using outward motions towards the side of your face (ears) and working your way downwards towards your chin and neck area. Massaging in these ‘downwards and outwards’ motions aids the flow of lymph in the direction of the lymph nodes situated along the hairline, ears, jaw and neck area which aids detoxification. 

    Wipe your face with a warm muslin/face cloth. Rinse the cloth and wipe your face a second time.  To finish, rinse the muslin/face cloth under cold (or cool) water and place over your face for a few seconds. Always complete cleansing with a cold muslin cloth or splashes of cold (or cool) water. Not only is this quite refreshing, but it activates a minute muscle beside the hair follicles, called the arrector pili muscle, contracting it and therefore ensuring any last remaining dirt is removed. This simple technique has your skin feeling soft and clean, without the need for harsh exfoliation.

Toning Products:

Revitalizing Facial Mist

  • A refreshing and calming facial mist which helps to refine pores and supports the natural processes of the skin (ie skin barrier function and new cell growth).  Ideal for oily and acne prone skin as it reduces inflammation and helps to balance oil production. Key ingredients also help to rebalance pigmentation (by inhibiting and/or dispersion of melanosomes), producing a more even skin tone. 

    The Peppermint, Comfrey and Cucumber were grown organically on our farm and I produce the organic glycerol extracts myself using fresh plant material. The mist has a fragrance of roses with a hint of mint. It contains an eco friendly preservative that has been approved by COSMOS and Ecocert for use in organic skincare products. This preservative is derived from natural sources such as rowan berries, pine bark and willow bark.

  • Apply after cleansing mornings & evenings, or as a refreshing mist when flying or feeling flushed. 

    In the morning, apply facial mist after cleansing and then apply moisturizer over facial mist to seal in hydration and all the beneficial properties of the mist. 

    For the evening, I recommend applying the facial mist after cleansing and omitting applying moisturizer. Yes that’s right, no night cream.  The facial mist acts as oil free night care treatment.  Reason being that your skin needs to respirate freely at night as it continues its restorative metabolic processes. Applying rich creams or oils at night hamper these processes. If you are new to this concept, your skin may experience a temporary phase of dryness when switching over as your skin rebalances its oil secretion.  Doing oil cleansing at night will help you to bridge this period.

Daily Defence Moisturising Lotion

  • This light lotion is microbiome friendly and helps to alleviate dry, itchy, thinning skin lacking in elasticity by supporting healthy skin barrier function. Healthy skin barrier function improves your skin's hydration levels, resilience and helps to protect against environmental pollution.

    Daily Defence lotion contains a prebiotic mixture of polysaccharides (derived from Chicory) which act as food for the beneficial microbes on our skin.  It encourages the growth and multiplication of these beneficial microbes, supporting the natural microbial balance of our skin and resulting in healthy skin barrier function.

    This facial serum is suitable for all skin conditions, but what some of you might find surprising is that I often recommend this facial serum for oily and/or acne prone skin conditions. By using the homeopathic principle of treating ‘like with like’ and applying a concentrated blend of light weight oils to an oily skin condition, we send a message to the skin to slow down overproduction of sebum and re-balance its oil production.

Calendula & Chamomile Multi-purpose Balm

  • This multi-purpose balm soothes dry, sore and inflamed skin conditions and can be used as an all-over moisturizer for face and body. It contains Calendula and Chamomile which calms skin irritation, reduces inflammation and relieves itching. Other ingredients help to improve elasticity and reduce stretch marks. 

    The Calendula flowers are grown organically on our farm and I produce the organic Calendula oil extract myself. This product is free from any synthetic ingredients, artificial fragrances or preservatives. Chamomile provides a sweet, pleasant and calming aroma.

  • Scoop balm with spatula and apply where needed. To use as facial moisturizer, apply in the morning while skin is still damp after cleansing & toning, or layer on top of moisturising lotion and/or facial serum for additional nourishment during colder months. Use sparingly as a little goes a long way!  

    This balm can also be used as an after-shave balm.

Yee-haa Cream

  • Wild West Whipped Tallow – Protects • Strengthens • Hydrates • Repairs

    Yee-haa Cream is a true all-purpose moisturizer—gentle enough for your face, yet rich enough for rough spots like heels, hands, and elbows. This version of tallow is whipped, giving it a lighter texture that’s easier to apply and absorbs more quickly than traditional tallow.

    Made with 100% Grass-Fed Tallow, this balm is deeply nourishing. Tallow’s fatty acid profile closely matches our own skin’s sebum, allowing it to moisturise deeply, repair damage, and strengthen the skin barrier. It also contains skin-loving vitamins A, D, E, and K, known for their anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties that help calm redness and protect against environmental stressors.

    I’ve also added infused oils of Elderflower and Comfrey. Elderflower is soothing, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory, helping to maintain clear, healthy skin. Comfrey brings rejuvenating and healing properties, supports skin cell regeneration, and helps retain moisture—making it ideal for sensitive or cracked skin.

    To round it off, Avocado oil adds an extra layer of hydration and nourishment, improving dry, dull, and dehydrated skin.

    The Elderflowers and Comfrey leaves are grown organically on our farm and I produce the organic oil infusions myself. Frankincense imparts a spicy undertone, while Geranium provides a pleasant herbal aroma.   • With clean, dry hands, take a small amount of the whip and apply it to the skin. A little goes a long way! For enhanced absorption, apply to slightly damp skin after showering.

    This all-purpose moisturizer works wonders on dry, rough areas such as heels, hands, and elbows. It's also gentle enough for the face - use sparingly for added protection and nourishment during colder months, layering on top of your regular facial moisturizer or serum.

Regenerating Rooibos Gel Mask

Available in 124g (4oz) and 55g (50ml) and 17.5g (15ml) pump bottles.

  • Reveal your skin’s natural radiance with this gentle yet powerful formula designed to deeply hydrate, calm irritation, and support skin renewal. Infused with antioxidant-rich Rooibos, soothing Chamomile, and rejuvenating Rose, this mask delivers a refreshing boost to tired, stressed skin.

    Botanical extracts of Cucumber, Pineapple, and Comfrey work synergistically to brighten the complexion, improve skin texture, and reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and age spots. Enhanced with Colloidal Silver, Hyaluronic acid and Glycogen, this gel mask helps to restore elasticity and promote healthy skin cell regeneration.

    The Chamomile, Comfrey, and Cucumber are organically grown on our farm, and I personally prepare the fresh plant glycerol extracts by hand. Wild Rose is sustainably foraged locally, with great care for the environment, and I craft all the infusions myself using time-honored methods.

    This mask has a naturally calming scent from Rooibos, Chamomile, and Rose, with no added essential oils—ideal for those with sensitivities. Both the Hyaluronic Acid and Glycogen are bio-fermented from non-GMO plant sources. I use an eco-friendly preservative approved by COSMOS and Ecocert for organic skincare, derived from natural sources such as rowan berries, pine bark, and willow bark.

  • The Rooibos Mask comes in a convenient pump bottle, making application quick and easy.

    As a mask treatment:
    Apply to clean skin after cleansing and leave on for 20 minutes. Remove gently using a warm face cloth.

    As an oil-free night treatment:
    After cleansing and toning, apply a thin layer and skip your usual moisturizer. This allows your skin to breathe and supports its natural overnight repair processes. Heavy creams or oils can interfere with this regenerative cycle.
    If you're new to this approach, you may experience a short period of dryness as your skin adjusts and rebalances its oil production. Incorporating oil cleansing at night can ease this transition.

    Multi-purpose use:
    This versatile mask can also be used as a morning eye gel to reduce signs of tiredness or as a spot treatment for acne.

Seaweed & Pine Bodywash

  • Seaweed is packed full of vitamins, minerals and and nutrients, including polysaccharides. This product moisturises and gently cleanses skin without disrupting skin microbiome.  In fact the polysaccharides (plant sugars) serve as ‘food’ for the beneficial microbes on your skin, which enhances healthy skin barrier function. I forage the Seaweed locally in a sustainable way, respecting our environment and prepare the Seaweed infusion myself. 

    I use natural and biodegradable soaping agents that are mild on the skin without drying it. Both soaping agents are sulfate free and 100 % from GMO-free vegetable origin.  Please note that natural and biodegradable soaping agents do not foam as much as synthetic soap and this might take a little getting used to.  

    This bodywash contains an eco-friendly preservative that has been approved by COSMOS and Ecocert for use in organic skincare products. The preservative is derived from natural sources such as rowan berries, pine bark and willow bark.  I chose to use Pine essential oil in this formulation as it is antiseptic and has a fresh aroma with woody undertones.

Invigorating Nettle & Rosemary Shampoo

  • Nettle is a well-known skin and hair tonic and is packed full of nutrients and minerals which promotes healthy hair and scalp.  The leaves contain beta carotene, bioflavonoids, antioxidants, chlorophyll, essential fatty acids, polysaccharides, silicic acid, calcium, potassium, iron, chromium, magnesium, zinc, B vitamins as well as vitamins C, D E and K!  I forage Nettle locally in a sustainable way, respecting our environment and prepare the Nettle infusion myself. 

    Rosemary stimulates circulation, thereby supporting healthy hair growth and its antimicrobial qualities help to reduce dandruff and maintain healthy a scalp.  We grow Rosemary organically on our farm and I produce the organic Rosemary Apple Cider Vinegar extract myself.   

    I use natural and biodegradable soaping agents that are mild on the skin without drying it.  Both soaping agents are sulfate free and 100 % from GMO-free vegetable origin.  Please note that natural and biodegradable soaping agents do not foam as much as synthetic soap and this might take a little getting used to.
